7th Grade COLOR WHEELS!

Central Middle School
7th Graders
mixed
secondary and tertiary
colors
from the three
primary colors
and painted swatches.

They each designed a
personal shape
and cut them from their swatches.
WHAT GREAT DESIGNS WHEN ASSEMBLED
INTO WHEELS!

Central Middle School students
created artworks in the style of
a fabric designed by
Charles Rennie Mackintosh
circa 1916 - 1920.

The designs seem a precursor
to the Op Art of Bridget Riley
in the 1960s - 1970s.

Ceramics!

is drip-glazed.

Scott's 6" bowl
combines two glazes for
a rich finish.

Amanda's 8" draped plate
decorated with red glass
sits on three 1" rounds.

Teaching assistant Amanda
also used a drape design
for her black-and-blue
bowl.

Colton's tiger-striped
drape plate balances
on three balled feet.

Curtis' dark blue,
flame-edged bowl.

Outer texture reminiscent
of melon rind, but the inside
shines like juicy, ripe fruit.

success bowl!
