FLIP DESIGNS: geometry meets art

8th Grade students used
mathematical basics to create
tapestry-like designs.
Though each student used
the same technique,
individual adaptations ensured
that each work of art is
completely unique.

Students were required
to use three analogous colors,
two complimentary colors,
and (if desired) one neutral.

These 18 samples are
exemplary designs by
5th, 6th, and 7th hour students
in 3rd quarter art classes.
